Giving Back to Our Community Through Song

As a community chorus where everyone from all walks of life is welcome, the Stampede City Mixed Chorus is proud of its history of supporting the full diversity of worthy non-profits , especially at Christmas. Because of the need this year, rather than giving one Saturday Christmas Show to help one non-profit, we thought we would give three “Evenings of Carols” in three different areas of Calgary to help three non-profits.

Since many of the 55 singers on our risers are involved with a variety of non-profits in one manner or other, we decided we would start those with whom a number of our chorus members are connected.

Silvera For Seniors (https://www.silvera.ca/). Silvera for Seniors offers a diverse selection of housing with services and supports for independent older adults. They’re proud to serve Calgary seniors with differing levels of income. Your support of this non-profit will go towards helping Silvera provide better programs for those who live in one of their 28 residences.

  1. Location: NE Calgary. To support Silvera for Seniors, we look forward to seeing you at our show on Thursday, December 5, 7:00 pm at Robert McClure United Church (5510 - 26 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB).
